林老師畢業於美國德州大學奧斯汀校區，曾任教於國立彰化師範大學、高雄師範大學、台灣科技大學及育達商業技術學院等大學校院教育輔導等科系，從事教職二十餘年，教育學術研究論文及書籍著作甚多。有關留學美國專著有「留美指引」、「美國大學科系排行榜」，及「最新留美輔導」等書，對於有志赴美留學的學子是極佳的參考書籍。
在大學任教期間，林老師經常赴歐美英加等國出席國際學術會議，並多次奉教育部指派擔任教育團體出國考察團領隊職務，遂有機會前往各著名大學參訪。平時更廣泛涉獵歐美高等教育資訊，對歐美各大學有極深入認識。
林老師經常鼓勵青年學生出國深造，也深知歐美大學為數眾多，各校入學條件及學校聲望名氣皆有所不同，留學選校和入學申請並不容易。多數人常未能精準抉擇，往往申請了一堆學校（20所以上），卻仍被拒絕，以致浪費金錢，也延誤出國留學的計畫。
因此林老師於2004年自國立台灣科技大學退休後，本著教育工作者的熱忱創立本公司，繼續從事他長久以來所熱愛的留學諮詢工作，希望能為有志出國進修者實現留學的夢想。在這裡，感受到的是「親切、服務、教育、輔導」，也聞不到濃濃的商業氣息。「一次服務，終生朋友」，美英的客戶都將成為永遠的朋友。

The USUK
Education Consulting Agency was founded in August of 2005 by Dr. Jerry Lin.
Its mission is to provide school information as well as advisory and
document-processing services for individuals that would like to pursue
studies abroad. We assist with applications for letters of acceptance and
scholarships for universities and graduate schools in the US, the UK, and
Canada. We also assist in arranging itineraries, purchasing airline tickets,
contacting Taiwanese student associations to pick students up at the
airport, and applying for dormitory rooms.
Dr. Lin graduated from the University of Texas at Austin and later taught
education and counseling for over 20 years at National Changhua Educational
University, National Kaohsiung Normal University, National Taiwan University
of Science and Technology, and Yu-Da College of Business. He has also
authored a number of academic papers and books on education. His book, Guide
to Studying in America, is extremely useful for students planning to study
in the United States.
While teaching in university, Dr. Lin frequently attended international
academic conferences in Europe, the US, the UK, and Canada and was
designated a number of times by the Ministry of Education to head education
delegations to other countries. These experiences afforded Dr. Lin the
opportunity to visit a many well known universities. He also keeps abreast
of information on postsecondary institutes of education in the US and the
UK. As a result, Dr. Lin is extremely knowledgeable about universities in
these two countries.
Dr. Lin likes to encourage young people to pursue advanced studies abroad
and is well aware that students have a plethora of postsecondary institutes
of education in the US and in Europe to choose from and that the conditions
for acceptance and reputations differ with each university. Choosing a
school to attend and applying for acceptance are by no means easy tasks.
Many are unable to trim down their choices and send out applications to
large numbers of schools (more than 20 is by no means uncommon), but they
still find themselves rejected in the end, wasting money and delaying their
plans for studying abroad.
In 2004, therefore, after
retiring from the National Taiwan University of Science and Technology and
driven by his passion for education, Dr. Lin established his own company to
offer study abroad consultation services, a field that he has been
passionate about for a long time as he hopes to help others realize their
dream of studying abroad. USUK’s office has a homey feel. The people are
friendly, the service excellent, and you sense a genuine desire to help. Our
